Director (Head Civil Claim)
Mr. Moshood Akanni Olateju was born in Lagos island on the 7th June 1966 to the family of Alhaji B.A Olateju-Aro (Lagos state) and Alhaja Nusirat Salu from adeneganade@gmail.com (Oyo state).
He attended the Christ Cathedral Primary School between 1972-1978, renaissance high school 1979-1981, Oregun high school 1982-1984.
He was admitted to the Lagos state university in 1986 to studied law and graduated in the year 1992 with LLB.(Hon) and was called to the Nigeria Bar in the year 1995.
He worked with M.O Oseni & Co. Legal practitioner from 1996-2000 and joined lagos state ministry of justice in the year 2000 as a state counsel and rose through the cadre to the level of director in 2023.
He has worked in various capacity in different department such as task force in environment and special offences, special fraud unit(Nigeria police)SFU, Ikoyi as liaison prosecutor, the public prosecutor(DIP), the civil litigation department and administrative general and public trustee(AGXPT), as well as being the legal officer of the ministry of transportation. I worked briefly in the advocacy department before I was later reported to DPP and now the Bureau of The Public Defender in April 2025. I am happily married with children.
